Recurring Programs and Events

DUE TO COVID-19, PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BOOK CLUBS NOW MEET VIRUTALLY OR IN AN OUTDOOR SPACE WITH PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING.

MPL offers multiple books clubs for multiple interests! Our current book club selections are:

  • Fiction Book Club – contemporary fiction, mystery, literary fiction, historical fiction, romance, etc. 
  • Nonfiction Book Club – biography/autobiography, memoir, history, social science, etc. 


Upcoming Programs and Events

Two open books near a cup of tea. Hands are on one book as if the person is reading.

Fiction Book Club – join us on the following Tuesdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm:
July 13, 2021 - "Summer Hours at the Robbers Library" by Sue Halpern.
August 10, 2021 - This month, you can choose from 1 of 4 books "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier, "Dear and Glorious Physician" by Taylor Caldwell, "Exodus" by Leon Uris, or "The Dollmaker" by Harriette Arnow.

Nonfiction Book Club - join us on the following Tuesdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm:
June 29, 2021 - "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi
July 27, 2021 - "The Man Who Made Vermeers" by Jonathan Lopez
August 24, 2021 - "Reading Behind Bars" by Jill Grunenwald

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, these meetings will take place outdoors in the green space adjacent to the library. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will take place via Zoom. Please follow our Facebook page for real-time updates.
