Cozy Mystery Book Club

Cozy mysteries are some of the most popular reading materials a public library has to offer, and now MacDonald Public Library has a dedicated club for the people who love them! Join us every other month for a discussion of a different cozy mystery. We may revisit an old favorite one meeting and discover a promising new series the next. But what is a cozy mystery? A cozy mystery is a subgenre of the mystery or crime fiction genres where crimes happen off-page, the main character is often an amateur detective, and the tone of the book is generally lighter. Many cozy mystery series follow a fun theme that they incorporate into their settings, characters, and titles. If reading and discussing these mellow mysteries sounds like a criminally good time, join us on the first Thursday of every odd-numbered month at 6:30 p.m. in the community room. Cozy Mystery Book Club alternates monthly with Thursday Thrillers Book Club. Copies of the book will be available for checkout at the library one month prior to the discussion. Register here.
