Marj was a teacher at Anchor Bay Schools, member of the Progressive Literary Club of New Baltimore, Michigan (PLC) and a advocate of children's literacy.
Thanks to Marj and all the members of the PLC, hundreds of books have been purchased for the book collections at MacDonald Public Libary. Each year the PLC book committee purchases the Caldecott and Newberry Award winning books for that year as well as other literary treasures for the teen and adult collections.
MacDonald Public Library would like to honor Marj with the dedication of the collection of Patricia Pollaco books currenlty on display for the month of May and available for children to check-out year round.
